BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid #17-35 and authorizes
the purchase of a Ford E350 Box Truck from Lewis Ford Sales, Inc. of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the
amount of $37,007.00 for use by the Recycling and Trash Collection Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Box Truck for Recycling and Trash Collection
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council approve the purchase of a Ford E350 Box Truck from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville,
AR was the lowest bid received through Bid 17-35 in the amount -0f $37,007.00 for use in the
Recycling and Trash Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 2106 is a 2007 Ford E350 Box Truck. It has exceeded its life expectancy and has 110% of
the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost. This vehicle is used to deliver and
repair trash carts to citizens.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a Ford E350 Box Truck from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville, AR
was the lowest bid received through Bid 17-35 in the amount of $37,007.00.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on June 13,.2017.
