A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT RECOGNIZING HAZMAT SERVICES
REVENUE RECEIVED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM WASHINGTON COUNTY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $11,319.00 AND INCREASING THE RELATED EXPENSE BUDGET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment,
a copy of which is attached to this Resolution, recognizing hazmat services revenue received by the Fire
Department from Washington County in the amount of $11,319.00 and increasing the related expense
budget:

SUBJECT: Approval of a budget adjustment in the amount of $11,319.00 to recognize
Hazmat Services Revenue received from Washington County and increase related
expense budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of a budget adjustment in the amount of $11,319.00 to recognize Hazmat Services
Revenue received from Washington County and increase related expense budget.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Fayetteville has received $11,319.00 of Hazmat Services Revenue from Washington
County. The Fire Department would like to utilize the revenue to offset costs for the Fayetteville
Hazmat Team. It will also be utilized to cover expenses for training and related expenses. These
purchases will be vital to the efficient and effective operation of the Hazmat Response
Operations of the Fire Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Increase expenses to correspond with hazmat services revenue received.

This Budget Adjustment will take funding from the Haz-Mat Revenue Account which will reflect revenue from Hazmat
Services from Washington County of $11,319.00 and place it in 1010.300.3040-5218.01--Hazmat Equipment to offset
costs for Fayetteville Haz-Mat Team and cover expenses for training and related expenses.
