Call to Order 2. Roll Call Members Present: Colwell, Jennings, Lamb, Maxwell, McHan, and Priest. Members Absent: Proffitt, Lawson, and McKnight. 3. Approval of May 2, 2016 PRAB Meeting Minutes PRAB Motion: Colwell motioned to accept the minutes, Priest seconded the motion, and motion passed 6-0-0. 4. Park Land Dedication Proposal - Alison Jumper, Park Planning Superintendent Development Name: Macey Street Townhomes Engineer: Owner: Tim Brisiel Location: South of Mount Comfort Rd., west of I- 49 Park Quadrant NW Units: 57 Multi-Family Homes Total Acres: 5 Land Dedication Requirement: .80 Money in Lieu Requirement $31,920 Existing Parks: Salem Park, Gary Hampton Softball Complex, Hamestring Creek Trail, Bryce Davis Community Park Developer’s Request: Money In Lieu Park Staff Recommendation: Money In Lieu Estimated Annual Maintenance: NA Justification: Existing parks in the one mile service area will meet the needs of this development. Additionally, the requirement for 57 units is less than the two acre minimum that PRAB has recommended as a standard. Lamb asked if the units will be individual lots. The developer replied no, they will be connected. PRAB Motion: Maxwell motioned to accept Money in Lieu, Priest seconded the motion. Motion passed, 6-0-0. 5. Lake Sequoyah Equestrian Trails – Byron Humphry, Park Maintenance Superintendent: Humphry updated the board that the riding club has followed through with all of their commitments as agreed. Staff is recommending permanent designation of equestrian trails. The trails have been blazed and maps have been installed. No issues have been reported. Edmonston noted that it has been a great partnership. Priest asked about the HMR impact for events that may be on the trail. A representative from the club reported that there is already a lot of interest regarding the trail and they hope to bring more users to the area. Lamb asked if there is a log for trail users to log visits. Humphry said no. PRAB Motion: Colwell motioned to designate the trails for equestrian use, Maxwell seconded the motion. Motion passed, 6-0-0. 6. Regional Park Update - Alison Jumper, Park Planning Superintendent: Jumper reported that the landscaping is largely complete, roofs are up on the concessions, sodding is on the soccer fields, parking lots are paved and still on target for fall programs at the park. 2 7. Summer Recreation Programs – John Crow, Recreation Superintendent: John Crow discussed the following summer events: 1. Adult Slow Pitch 2. Be Active Summer Camps 3. YRCC Programs 4. Wilson Park Swimming Pool, Swimming Lessons, and Dive-In Movies 5. Gulley Park Concert Series 6. Square 2 Square Bike Ride Other Business: Ribbon Cutting at Great House Park for the completion of the Town Branch Trail will be on June 9, 2016. Adjourn Meeting adjourned at 5:56 PM. 3
