BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid No. 16-65 and
authorizes the purchase of a Genie S-45 telescopic boom lift from J.A. Riggs Tractor Company of
Springdale in the amount of $64,710.96 for use at the Biosolids Management Site.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Man Lift for Wastewater Treatment Plant
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase of one Genie S-45 Man Lift for lowest bid price that met
all specifications received through Bid 16-65 in the amount of $64,710.96 available through J.A.
Riggs Tractor Company of Springdale, AR for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 806 is a 1995 Case 1150-G Dozer. Wastewater no longer needs a Dozer, however they
are in need of a Man Lift to reach the inside of their drying house. For this reason, they would
like to replace the Dozer with a telescopic boom lift. Unit 806 can still be used and will move to
Water &'Sewer for a project they are currently working on.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of one Genie S-45 Man Lift for lowest bid price that met all
specifications received through Bid 16-65 in the amount of $64,710.96 available through J.A.
Riggs Tractor Company of Springdale, AR for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
This purchase was presented to the Equipment Committee on January 10, 2017.
