HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 6:00p.m.
September 22, 2016, in the City Administration Building, Room #219, Fayetteville, AR.
Mike Emery, Chair Person, called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Mike Emery, Chris White, and Matthew Cabe
Commissioners Absent: Chris Terry and Carma Unruh
Others Present: Deniece Smiley (Fayetteville Housing Authority)
NEW BUSINESS
A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Board Meeting. Matthew Cabe made a
motion to accept the minutes as presented and Chris White seconded. The
Board voted unanimously to approve.
B. Approval of July 2016 FHA Program Balance Sheets & Income Statements and
August 2016 Accounts Payable Summary. Chris White made a motion to accept
the financial records as presented and Matthew Cabe seconded it. The Board
voted unanimously to approve.
C. Approval of Resolution No. 1056 —Setting Payment Standards for the Section 8
Voucher and VASH Programs. Chris White made a motion to approve Resolution
No. 1056 and Mathew Cabe seconded it. The Board voted unanimously to
approve.
D. Approval of Resolution No. 1057 — To Void Checks from Fayetteville Housing
Authority Funds Outstanding over 90 days from date of Issuance. Matthew Cabe
made a motion to approve Resolution No. 1057 and Chris White seconded it. The
Board voted unanimously to approve.
E. Approval of Resolution No. 1058 — Charging off Delinquent Accounts of former
tenants for periods 6/2/2016 — 9/1/2016. Chris White made a motion to
approve Resolution No. 1058 and Matthew Cabe seconded it. The Board voted
unanimously to approve.
F. Approval of Resolution No. 1059 - Approving Fiscal Year 2017 Public Housing
Operating Budget. Matthew Cabe made a motion to approve Resolution No.
1059 and Chris White seconded it. The Board voted unanimously to approve.
G. Approval of Resolution No. 1060 — Approving Fiscal Year 2016 Public Housing
Operating Budget — Revision — Chris White made a motion to approve Resolution
No. 1060 and Matthew Cabe seconded it. The Board voted unanimously to
approve.
H. Approval of Resolution No. 1061— Authorizing the opening of Checking Account
for Morgan Manor Operating Fund with funds from Fayetteville Housing
Authority Public Housing Operating Account located at Bank of America #0045
9020 1864. Matthew Cabe made a motion to approve Resolution No. 1061 and
Chris White seconded it. The Board voted unanimously to approve.
I. Presentation/ Remarks by Rick Shelton — Coldwell Banker McHaney & Faucette —
Willow Heights property. This item was rescheduled to the October 27, 2016
meeting.
J. Executor Director's Report—oral remarks were made by Deniece Smiley
including the presentation of a letter from a Public Housing Resident regarding
the Non -Smoking Policy.
The meeting was adjourned by Mike Emery. The next regular scheduled board meeting is
October 27, 2016.
