BACKGROUND: Unit 346 is a 2005 Ford F550 with a service body and 4 wheel drive. This unit has now reached 102% of the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost. This unit was put into service in February 2005 and has exceeded its 10 year life expectancy. DISCUSSION: Fleet recommends the purchase of one Ford F550 Diesel 4x4 with Reading Utility Body per bid Bid 16-57 in the amount of $55,243.00 available through Lewis Ford Sales, Inc. of Fayetteville, AR for use by the Water & Sewer Department. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase. This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on September 13, 2016.
