BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid No. 16-54 and
authorizes the purchase of a Ford F550 Crew Cab 4x4 with Davis Dump Body from Lewis Ford Sales,
Inc. of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the amount of $54,670.88 for use by the Transportation Department.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one 1.5 ton Truck with Dump Body for Transportation
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase of one Ford F550 Crew Cab 4x4 with Davis Dump Body
per bid Bid 16-54 (items 1 and 4) in the amount of $54,670.88 available through Lewis Ford
Sales, Inc. of Fayetteville, AR for use by the Transportation Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 358 is a 2007 Ford F550 with a dump body and 4 wheel drive. This unit has now reached
90% of the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost. This unit was put into
service in January 2007 and is near its 10 year life expectancy.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of one Ford F550 Crew Cab 4x4 with Davis Dump Body per
bid Bid 16-54 (items 1 and 4) in the amount of $54,670.88 available through Lewis Ford Sales,
Inc. of Fayetteville, AR for use by the Transportation Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on September 13, 2016.
