HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 6:00p.m.,
August 25, 2016, in the City Administration Building, Room #219, Fayetteville, AR.
Chris White, Vice -Chairperson called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Chris White, Chris Terry, Carma Unruh, and Matthew Cabe
Commissioners Absent: Mike Emery
Others Present: Deniece Smiley (Fayetteville Housing Authority), Yesica Garcia of
Community Clinic, and various Public Housing tenants.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Board Meeting. No corrections or
changes were made to the board meeting minutes; the minutes were accepted
as presented.
B. Approval of June 2016 FHA Program Balance Sheets and Income Statements and
July 2016 Accounts Payable Summary. Chris Terry made a motion to accept
records and Carma Unruh seconded. The Board approved unanimously.
C. Approval of Resolution No. 1055 Adopting Revised Utility Allowances for the
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and the VASH Program. Chris Terry
made a motion to approve Resolution No. 1055 and Carma Unruh seconded.
The Board approved unanimously.
D. Executor Director's Report. Deniece Smiley presented oral remarks.
The business part of the meeting was concluded and the meeting was opened to the
Fayetteville Public Housing tenants who made comments regarding the implementation of the
Non —Smoking Policy on September 1, 2016.
Yesica Garcia was introduced with Community Clinic regarding cessation of smoking and the
tenants were given the opportunity to sign up for available services.
The meeting was adjourned by Chris White. The next regular scheduled board meeting is
September 22, 2016.
