BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid No. 16-47 and
approves the purchase of a Meyer V Force Spreader from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment
Company, Inc. in the amount of $29,395.00 for use at the Biosolids Management Site.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one spreader for Wastewater Treatment
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase of one Meyer V Force 7500 Spreader in the amount of
$29,395.00 plus applicable taxes from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment Company, Inc.
of Springdale, AR.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 5023 is a 2011 H & S MSV 2206T spreader. It has reached 90% of the original purchase
price in life to date maintenance costs. This spreader is used by Wastewater to spread sludge
in the drying houses.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of one Meyer V Force 7500 Spreader per bid 16-47 in the
amount of $29,395.00 plus applicable taxes from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment
Company, Inc. of Springdale, AR for use by the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted for this purchase.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on August 9, 2016.
