THROUGH THE END OF 2015
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid #15-29
and authorizes the purchase of cold asphalt concrete from Hutchens Construction for a unit price
of $105.00 per ton as needed through the end of 2015.

SUBJECT: Bid 15-29, Cold Asphalt Concrete
RECOMMENDATION:
A resolution awarding Bid 15-29 to and authorizing the purchase of cold asphalt concrete from
Hutchens Construction, for a unit price of $105.00 per ton, as needed through the end of
calendar year 2015.
BACKGROUND:
The purchase of bulk construction materials and services is necessary to maintain current
infrastructure and to implement projects outlined in the Capital Improvements Program and
annual budget and work program. Sealed bids in accordance with State statutes, City
ordinances, and purchasing procedures were publicly read and the results are attached to this
memo.
DISCUSSION:
The low bid for cold asphalt concrete was submitted by Hutchens Construction. Their product
meets all necessary specifications and their service is satisfactory.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Funds for the acquisition of these materials have been budgeted in the In -House Pavement
Improvements capital project.
