BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the
purchase of a Gradall XL3100 IV 4x2 Excavator Truck from Scott Equipment of Springdale,
Arkansas in the amount of $313,324.00 pursuant to an NJPA cooperative purchasing agreement
for use by the Transportation Services Department.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Gradall XL3100 IV 4X2 Excavator for Street Maintenance
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase of one Gradall XL3100 Excavator in the amount of
$313,324 available off the NJPA contract 031014 -GRD through Scott Equipment of Springdale,
AR.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 813 is a 2007 Gradall XL3100 Excavator; it has 3,600 hours and is worn out and due for
replacement.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of one Gradall XL3100 Excavator in the amount of $313,324
available off the NJPA contract 031014 -GRD through Scott Equipment of Springdale, AR.
This purchase was presented to the Equipment Committee on April 14, 2015.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds were budgeted for this purchase. The shortfall on what has been collected will
be made up with the sale of this unit along with the sale of 809U on Gov Deals.
