A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID #15-20 TO TRUCK CENTERS OF
ARKANSAS AND AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2)
FREIGHTLINER M2-106 TRUCKS WITH KANN RECYCLE BODIES IN THE
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $340,852.00 FOR USE BY THE RECYCLING AND
TRASH COLLECTION DIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid
#15-20 and authorizes the purchase of two (2) Freightliner M2-106 trucks with Kann recycle
bodies in the total amount of $340,852.00 from Truck Centers of Arkansas for use by the
Recycling and Trash Collection Division.
PASSED and APPROVED this 3`d day of March, 2015.

SUBJECT: Purchase of two Recycle trucks for Recycling and Trash Collection
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase of two 2015 Freightliner M2-106 with Kann Recycle
Bodies from Truck Centers of AR of Springdale, AR off of Bid 15-20 in the amount of
$170,426.00 each, for a total of $340,852.00.
BACKGROUND:
Units 487 and 489 are both 2007 Freightliner Recycling Trucks. They are due for replacement
this year and no longer can stand up to daily frontline use.
DISCUSSION:
Bid 15-20 was opened on January 30th, Truck Centers of AR had the lowest bid that met all
specs that were required.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on February 10, 2015.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient replacement funds have been budgeted for and collected for each.
