F250 FROM LEWIS FORD OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $22,427.00 PURSUANT TO A STATE PROCUREMENT
CONTRACT FOR USE BY THE ANIMAL SERVICES DIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes
the purchase of one (1) 2015 Ford F250 from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the amount
of $22,427.00 pursuant to a state procurement contract for use by the Animal Services Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one pickup for Animal Services division
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase of one Ford F250 from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville, AR
for the state contract amount of $22,427.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 2124 is a 2008 Ford F-250 with 125,000 miles and has a 6 year life expectancy. It was due
for replacement in 2014 but was pushed back to 2015. It is worn out and due for replacement.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of one Ford F250 from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville, AR for the
state contract amount of $22,427.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on January 13, 2015,
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds were collected to replace both the truck and the animal control body, however
the body will be reused from the current unit. The remaining funds will be set aside to replace
the body with the next replacement. The replacement truck is available off the state vehicle
purchase contract.
