A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID #15-14 AND AUTHORIZE THE
PURCHASE OF WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION
DEBRIS FROM S&R TRUCKING WINSLOW, LLC AND HOLTZCLAW
EXCAVATING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $10.00 PER LOAD AS NEEDED
THROUGH THE END OF CALENDAR YEAR 2015
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid
#15-14 and authorizes the purchase of waste disposal services for construction debris from S&R
Trucking Winslow, LLC and Holtzclaw Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $10.00 per load, with
the supplier to be selected depending on the distance from each individual job site to the disposal
site, as needed through the end of calendar year 2015.

SUBJECT: Bid 15-14, Waste Disposal for Construction Debris
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends a resolution awarding Bid 15-14 to and authorizing the purchase of waste
disposal for construction debris from S & R Trucking Winslow, LLC and Holtzclaw Excavating,
Inc., determining which will be used on a case by case basis depending on the distance from
each individual job site to the disposal site, as needed through the end of calendar year 2015.
BACKGROUND:
The purchase of bulk construction materials and services is necessary to maintain current
infrastructure and to implement the projects outlined in the Capital Improvements Program and
Annual Budget and Work Program.
DISCUSSION:
Sealed bids in accordance with State statutes, City ordinances, and purchasing procedures were
publicly read and the results are attached to this memo.
S & R Trucking Winslow, LLC and Holtzclaw Excavating submitted equal bid amounts of $10.00
per load for waste disposal of construction debris.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Funds for the acquisition of materials and services have been budgeted in various capital projects
within the Sales Tax Capital Improvements Fund and Street Fund operating programs.
