BACKGROUND: The Animal Services Program would like to spend $21460.52 for the purchase of 36 new kennel doors to replace the existing deteriorating kennel doors. This project was approved through the Capital Improvements Projects. DISCUSSION: Animal Services has been allotted funds through the Capital Improvement Projects to purchase new kennel doors for the stray hold building. Three quotes have already been received from separate companies that manufacture these doors. The amount requested represents the amount of the lowest quote given by Mason Company. Local companies were sought but none could be found that can produce the specific product.
