DELIVERED FOR VARIABLE UNIT PRICES AS NEEDED THROUGH THE
END OF CALENDAR YEAR 2015
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid
#15-03 and authorizes the purchase of hillside gravel from Les Rogers, Inc. as primary supplier
and Sweetser Construction as secondary supplier for materials picked up, and from Sweetser
Construction as primary supplier and Les Rogers, Inc. as secondary supplier for materials
delivered for variable unit prices as specified in the bid calculation attached to this Resolution as
needed through the end of calendar year 2015.
PASSED and APPROVED this 201h day of January, 2015.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends a resolution awarding Bid 15-03 to and authorizing the purchase of hillside
gravel from Les Rogers, Inc. as primary supplier and Sweetser Construction as secondary
supplier for materials picked up and Sweetser Construction as primary supplier and Les Rogers,
Inc. as secondary supplier for materials delivered, for the unit prices shown on the attached bid
tabulation, as needed through the end of calendar year 2015.
BACKGROUND:
The purchase of bulk construction materials and services is necessary to maintain current
infrastructure and to implement the projects outlined in the Capital Improvements Program and
Annual Budget and Work Program.
DISCUSSION:
Sealed bids in accordance with State statutes, City ordinances, and purchasing procedures were
publicly read and the results are attached to this memo.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Funds for the acquisition of materials and services have been budgeted in various capital projects
within the Sales Tax Capital Improvements Fund and Street Fund operating programs.
