BACKGROUND: Unit 678 is a 2006 New Holland Front End Loader. It has been used for nearly 5,000 hours and has cost 61% of its original cost in maintenance charges. It will no longer stand up to Transportation's demanding use. DISCUSSION: Fleet recommends the purchase of one 2015 John Deere Loader off the Arkansas State contract, through NJPA in the amount of $139,750 from Stribling Equipment of Springdale, AR This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on March 10, 2015. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: The funds collected from Transportation for the replacement are just shy of meeting the purchase price; this will be more than made up when the old unit is sold on GovDeals.
