BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid
#14-18 to HilBilt Sales Corp. — Arkansas of Benton, Arkansas and approves the purchase of one
(1) Clement Industries StarLite hydraulic end dump trailer in the total amount of $43,559.78 for
use by the Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one end dump Trailer for Wastewater
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve the purchase off Bid #14-18 of one Clement Industries end dump
Trailer from Hilbilt Sales Corp of Benton, AR in the amount of $43,560 tax included.
BACKGROUND:
Unit #9106 is a 2004 Lufkin Trailer that is past due for replacement; this is the last unit that OMI
purchased and sold to the City.
DISCUSSION:
Bid 14-18 was opened February 26, 2014; a bid tab sheet is attached. Hilbilt Sales Corp was
the low bidder and their bid meets all specs.
Fleet recommends the purchase of one 2014 Clement Industries Starlight hydraulic end dump
trailer from Hilbilt Sales Corp of Benton, AR in the amount of $43,560 tax included.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
There is a shortfall of $4,500 of replacement collected on this unit which should be covered by
the amount received when the old unit is sold on GovDeals. If the unit doesn't bring enough on
GovDeals, the balance will be added to the amount to collect on the new unit, per Fleet policy.
