BACKGROUND: Unit 656 is a 2005 Backhoe that is due for replacement this year; it is worn out and needs to be replaced. DISCUSSION: A John Deere Backhoe is available off the NJPA (National Joint Powers Alliance) purchase contract in the amount of $85,500. Fleet recommends the purchase of a John Deere 310SK Backhoe from Stribling Equipment of Springdale AR in the amount of $85,500 off the NJPA purchase contract. This purchase was discussed at the Equipment Committee meeting on Nov 13th BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Sufficient replacement funds have been collected to replace this Backhoe.
