Signature of the Mayor and City Clerk. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the amendment to the Hangar A renovation Project Task Order with McClelland Consulting Engineers. The amendment covers the cost for the additional work to prepare new construction documents and to re -bid the project following value engineering to reduce total project costs. BACKGROUND: This project was designed and bid last year but grant funding to complete the project was denied by Arkansas Aeronautics due to lack of Department revenue. The project was considered and approved by Arkansas Aeronautics this year at their February meeting and bids were received and were within the allowable grant funding. This item approves an amendment to the Task Order No. 9 with McClelland Consulting Engineers to cover the additional costs for preparing new construction documents and re -bidding services. BUDGET IMPACT: This item requests $7,500.00 additional budget to fund Task Order No. 9 with McClelland Consulting Engineers. This project is funded with an 80/20 grant from the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics. The referenced task order and basic agreement pertains to proposed improvements to Drake Field. This Amendment entered into and executed on the date indicated beneath the signature blocks, by and between the City of Fayetteville and McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. Bidding Phase 20 calendar days SECTION III - SCOPE OF SERVICES The scope of the services shall, generally, provide those services listed in the basic agreement which are applicable to this specific Task Order. Specifically, the scope of services for this project will include: A. Revise the Construction Documents to include the Value Engineering Items identified after the initial Bids were received for this project. B. Meeting with the Airport Management and their Tenants to discuss revised design criteria, desired features, and schedule. C. Additional Bidding Services to answer Contractor Questions during the second bidding process. SECTION IV - FEES AND PAYMENTS The following additional fees are to be paid to McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. as compensation for its services: A Additional Project Administration (for Revised Plans & Bidding): hourly rates Not to Exceed $ 1,050.
