A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF $2,100.00 REPRESENTING DONATION REVENUE TO THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2013 IN
SUPPORT OF OFFICER SERVICE AWARDS AND GENERAL
RECOGNITION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A", in the total amount of $2,100.00
representing donation revenue to the Police Department during the First Quarter of 2013 in
support of officer service awards and general recognition.

Subject: Recognize Various Donations to Fayetteville Police Department
PROPOSAL:
Periodically, businesses and/or citizens of Fayetteville will make monetary donations to the Police
Department to enhance our services or to recognize our personnel. During the first quarter of 2013, the Police
Department received donations totaling $2,100.00. The checks were deposited into the City's General Fund
and are tracked through the City's Project Accounting System to insure that the donors intended purpose is met.
All purchases utilizing these funds must follow the City of Fayetteville Purchasing Policy.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends acceptance of these donations to the Fayetteville Police Department and approval of
the attached budget adjustment in the amount of $2,100.00. If you should have any comments or questions
regarding these donations, please contact me at extension 500.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Increase expense budgets to correspond with Police Department donations revenue received during
2013.
