A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT
FOR THE PROVISION OF PARKING -RELATED SERVICES
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS AND THE
WALTON ARTS CENTER COUNCIL, INC.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a three year contract with the Walton
Arts Center for parking -related services on May 3, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved an increase in the budget to increase
payments to the Walton Arts Center in 2013 from $39,000.00 to $45,222.00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves
the attached Amendment To Contract For The Provision Of Parking -Related Services
Between The City Of Fayetteville, Arkansas And The Walton Arts Center Council, Inc.
and authorizes Mayor Jordan to sign this Amendment.

The City Staff recommends a resolution to approve an agreement with Walton Arts Center for
services provided for the Parking Program in the Entertainment District.
Background:
In June 2010 an ordinance enacted a pay parking program in the Entertainment District Parking
Zone. Prior to the implementation of the new paid parking program, the Walton Arts Center
submitted projected costs for services and operational expenses. Walton Arts Center provides
customer service in adjacent gated lots to the Walton Arts Center for patron entries and exits,
assistance with the location of available open parking spaces as the lots fill, parking ticket
problem resolution, validation, event parking staff for entry collection and exit management and
assistance in using the pay parking machines and pay in advance features.
The Walton Arts Center request for funding in 2012 was for an increase in funding from the
original contract amount of $39,000 to $45,000. This was approved for the 2012 Budget. The 2013
budget request by WAC was for $62,160 funding for 2013, The amount approved by City Council
in the 2013 budget was $45,222.
Budget Impact:
The City Council approved in the Parking budget dollars for the 2013 for Parking Services, and Art
Services at a total of $295,222. ($250,000 for Art Related Services, and $45,222 for Parking
Services) This contract will utilize $45,222 of the funds approved in the 2013 Parking budget.

AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT
FOR THE PROVISION OF PARKING -RELATED SERVICES
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
AND
THE WALTON ARTS CENTER COUNCIL, INC.
On this z "-� day of April, 2013, The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas and the
Walton Arts Center agree to amend their contract approved by Ordinance No. 5410 of
May 3, 2011 and entered into on May 6, 2011 by amending paragraph 4 to change the
amount to be paid by the City of Fayetteville to the Walton Arts Center from $39,000.00
to $45,222.00 for 2013 and the monthly installments in 2013 from $3,250.00 to
$39768.50.
All other terms and conditions shall remain the same.
