A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $10,000.00 TO REPLACE AND PURCHASE ADDITIONAL
POLICE GYM EQUIPMENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A", in the total amount of $10,000.00
to replace and purchase additional police gym equipment.

Subject: Approve Budget Adjustment for Police Gym Equipment
PROPOSAL:
It has been several years since any funding has been put into our weight room and exercise area. With
health and fitness becoming a focus of all city employees, the usage of this facility has increased dramatically.
The Police Department has identified several needs in our weight room and exercise area including maintenance
on weight machines, replacement of bentibroken weight bars and dumb bells, additional free weights, and
expansion of cardiovascular equipment. This facility is open 24/7 to all city employees and their family
members that are covered by our health insurance.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the budget adjustment to replace worn out gym equipment and purchase
additional gym equipment in the amount of $10,000. If you have any questions, please contact me at extension

BUDGET IMPACT:
Funding for this project is a result of savings within the Police Bicycle Replacement project.
