A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF VINYL PLANK FLOORING FROM CONTINENTAL FLOORING
COMPANY FOR THE TRANSPORTATION DIVISION OFFICE IN THE
AMOUNT OF $38,843.00 PLUS ANY APPLICABLE BONDING FEES AND
TAX PURSUANT TO AN NJPA COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
AGREEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes
the purchase and installation of vinyl plank flooring from Continental Flooring Company for the
Transportation Division office in the amount of $38,843.00 plus any applicable bonding fees and
tax pursuant to an NJPA cooperative purchasing agreement.

Subject: Approval of the purchase of new flooring for the Transportation Division's office area.
PROPOSAL:
The purchase and installation of new vinyl plank flooring for the entire Transportation Division office area.
RECOMMENDATION:
The age and condition of the existing tile flooring is extremely poor and highly degraded. We have solicited a
quote from Continental Flooring under the National Joint Powers Alliance purchasing contract which eliminates
the competitive bidding requirement.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funds for this project were budgeted in the 2013 Transportation Budget and Work Plan.
