Boudreaux, Aviation Di ctor r DATE: January 14, 2013 SUBJECT: Approval of Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement for Engineering Services Fayetteville Executive Airport between the City of Fayetteville and McClelland Consulting Engineers. RECOMMENDATION: Approve one year extension of the Engineering Services Agreement for Fayetteville Executive Airport with McClelland Consulting Engineers through Amendment No. 2 to the original agreement. This is the final extension to the original contract. BACKGROUND: The FAA requires that airports contract with airport consulting engineering firms to provide engineering services for airport projects. McClelland Consulting Engineers was awarded the contract in 2009 for three years with two one-year extensions. This will be the final extension to the contract which will be re -bid next year. MCE has held the contract for Airport Engineering Services for more than 24 years. BUDGET IMPACT: None. There is no retainer with this contract. Expenses are approved separately by the City Council through Task Orders. The referenced basic agreement pertains to proposed improvements to Fayetteville Executive Airport, Drake Field. This Amendment entered into and executed on the date indicated beneath the signature blocks, by and between the City of Fayetteville and McClelland Consulting Engineers (ENGINEER) extends the duration of the contract for the fifth of five years, as allowed in the first paragraph on page 1 of the basic agreement. This action is taken to allow the ENGINEER to undertake design and construction administration services beyond contract expiration date of May 5, 2013. As a result, the amended contract expiration date becomes May 5, 2014. SECTION I - PROJECT DESCRIPTION The types of projects to be undertaken by the ENGINEER during this extended period include the type of projects listed in Section II of the Basic Agreement and any additional services related to the Fayetteville Executive Airport as may be included by the City of Fayetteville.
