A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $51,308.00 TO RECOGNIZE REVENUE FROM THE
UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS FOR ITS COST SHARE FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK ALONG RAZORBACK ROAD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment in the amount of $51,308.00 to recognize revenue from the University Of
Arkansas for its cost share for construction of a sidewalk along Razorback Road.

Subject: Razorback Road Sidewalk Construction
PROPOSAL:
A resolution approving a budget adjustment in the amount of $51,308 recognizing revenue from the University
of Arkansas for its cost -share portion of construction of Razorback Road sidewalk.
RECOMMENDATION:
Construction of a six -foot -wide, 1,300 linear foot sidewalk on the east side of Razorback Road between
Cleveland and Maple streets was a scheduled project for 2012. Transportation Division crews provided the
necessary labor and equipment related to the construction of the sidewalk and curb. The University of Arkansas
agreed to reimburse the City of Fayetteville up to $80,000 for materials and contract installation of a modular
block retaining wall.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Construction of the sidewalk, curb and related improvements along the east side of Razorback Road between
Cleveland Street and Maple Street was budgeted in the Sidewalk Improvements capital project.
