HomeMy WebLinkAbout202-12 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. 202-12 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000.00 REPRESENTING DONATION REVENUE FROM THE WASHINGTON COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE DRUG CONTROL FUND TO THE FAYETTEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN SUPPORT OF TRAINING OF THE FOURTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT DRUG TASK FORCE'S DOMESTIC HIGHWAY ENFORCEMENT UNIT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A", in the amount of $2,000.00 representing donation revenue from the Washington County Prosecutor's Office Drug Control Fund to the Fayetteville Police Department in support of training of the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force's Domestic Highway Enforcement Unit. These funds will be used to pay expenses for training our task force members. Training will include both classroom studies and field training. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of a budget adjustment in the amount of $2,000 to recognize contributions made by the Washington County Prosecutor's Office in support of training for the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force. If you have any questions, please contact me at extension 500. BUDGET IMPACT: There will be no adverse effect on our budget as the increase in expenses will equal the increase in revenue. College Fayetteville AR 72701 Dear Karen, Earlier this summer, Sheriff Tim Helder requested $2000.00 from your office to pay for training for the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force's Domestic Highway Enforcement unit. We hope to hold our first training next week. This money will be used to pay for travel expenses for the Arkansas State Police Highway Interdiction Team members who will be conducting training with our unit.
