BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid
#11-35 and authorizes a contract with King Electrical Contractors in the amount of $54,581.00
for construction and installation of an emergency electrical generator at the Fayetteville Senior
Center.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
ten percent (10%) project contingency.

Subject: Senior Center Emergency Generator
PROPOSAL: Addition of a 100KW emergency generator and associated equipment at the Fayetteville Senior
Center located at 945 S College Ave. This will allow for the use of the Senior Center as an emergency facility
if needed.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends City Council accept the bid from King Electrical Contractors, Inc
for the amount of $54,581 and approve a project contingency of $5,458 for a total project cost of $60,039.
BUDGET IMPACT: Funding for this project is from the Sales Tax Capital Improvement.
