HomeMy WebLinkAbout220-11 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. 220-11 A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A SCHOLARSHIP DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,561.00 FROM THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS FOR ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER CHRIS HARRIMANN TO ATTEND A CRUELTY INVESTIGATION COURSE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AND TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO RECOGNIZE THIS REVENUE WHEREAS, Animal Control Officer Chris Harriman applied for a scholarship from the ASPCA to cover his costs of $1,561.00 to attend a week long cruelty investigation course administered by the National Cruelty Investigations School administered through the University of Missouri; and WHEREAS, the ASPCA did award Chris the scholarship so that he will be able to attend this course. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby thanks the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and accepts its scholarship to enable Animal Control Officer Chris Harriman to take the week long animal cruelty investigation course. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves the attached budget adjustment to recognize this revenue. PASSED and APPROVED this 20th day of December, 2011. The course is administered by The National Animal Cruelty Investigations School through the University of Missouri.
