A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO REFLECT
$28,550.00 FOR REVENUE RECEIVED BECAUSE OF THE SALE OF A 1997
KME RENEGADE PUMPER FIRE TRUCK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves
the attached budget adjustment to reflect $28,550.00 for revenue received because of the sale of
a 1997 KME Renegade Pumper Fire Truck.

Subject: A resolution approving a budget adjustment in the amount of $28,550.00 to recognize revenue
received from the auction and sale of Unit 27 - 1997 KME Renegade Pumper Fire Truck.
PROPOSAL:
The Fayetteville Fire Department's 1997 KME Renegade Pumper Fire Truck (Unit 27) has been taken out of
service and replaced with a 2010 Ferrara Pumper (Unit 40). The 1997 KME Renegade Pumper Fire Truck was
auctioned through GovDeals and sold to the Braggs Fire Department for the amount of $28,550.00.
Fire Department staff would like to recognize this revenue to fund current and future fire and rescue apparatus
needs. The department currently has an inflatable rescue boat which is aging and regularly repaired. The
department is experiencing an increased number of water rescue calls, including one day this year which
required 34 water rescue responses within a six hour period. The increased demand has created the need for an
additional rescue boat which includes different features, such as a hard bottom, to better meet the needs of the
department and citizens. If approved, staff intends to utilize a portion of the recognized revenue for this
purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends a resolution approving a budget adjustment in the amount of $28,550.00 to recognize
revenue received from the auction and sale of Unit 27 - 1997 KME Renegade Pumper Fire Truck.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The attached budget adjustment will recognize revenue in the amount of $28,550.00 to increase the Fire
Apparatus Purchases capital project.
