A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $20,000.00 REPRESENTING DONATION REVENUE TO THE
ANIMAL SERVICES DIVISION BY THE ESTATE OF SUSANNAH A.
PORTER AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE FOR THE BEQUEST
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A", in the amount of $20,000.00
representing donation revenue to the Animal Services Division by the estate of Susannah A.
Porter.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby expresses
its sincere gratitude for this bequest.

Subject: Approval of a Budget Adjustment for Animal Services Division
PROPOSAL:
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter was made a beneficiary of the James L. and Susannah A. Porter Trust. Mrs.
Susannah Porter passed away in August of this year. She was an avid animal lover and constant supporter of
the Fayetteville Animal Shelter. She loved her Yorkshire Terriers, Burgundy, Chardonnay, Gardenia Adair and
Scarlett O'Hara. The Shelter is extremely grateful for her support and this donation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of a budget adjustment to budget the Animal Services Donation Revenue to
recognize the gift from Mrs. Susannah Porter .
BUDGET IMPACT:
Recognize Animal Shelter Donations in the amount of $20,000.00
