A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $19,950.00 TO FUND THE PURCHASE OF A 2012
CHEVROLET COLORADO 4X4 PICKUP TRUCK BY THE FLEET
OPERATIONS DIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A", in the amount of $19,950.00 to
fund the purchase of a 2012 Chevrolet Colorado 4x4 pickup truck by the Fleet Operations
Division.

Subject: Approval of Budget Adjustment
PROPOSAL: That City Council approve a Budget Adjustment to increase Fleet capital project 02078 Light /
Medium Utility Vehicles by $19,950 and decrease Fleet capital Project 02081 Police / Passenger Vehicles by
$19,950.
RECOMMENDATION: Unit #1025 (a 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4 x 4 used by Engineering Division, Public
Construction) was slated for replacement in 2011. As this is considered a passenger vehicle, funds were
budgeted in project 02081 - Police / Passenger Vehicles. However, the replacement for this unit will be a 2012
Chevy Colorado 4 x 4 Pickup. (A 4 x 4 is required because of the construction job sites where this truck is
used.) Pickup trucks should be purchased out of Project 02078 - Light / Medium Utility Vehicles.
Fleet is piggy -backing an earlier bid from George Nunnally Chevrolet so it doesn't have to be re -bid. The
purchase price is less than $20,000.
I recommend approval of this Budget Adjustment to move funds to the correct project for this purchase.
BUDGET IMPACT: Funds are available for the purchase of this truck.
