A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $22,329.00 TO RECOGNIZE REVENUE FROM THE
ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT
FOR REPLACEMENT OF A FENCE, SIGN AND TREES DUE TO THE
WIDENING OF STATE HIGHWAY 16 NEAR THE CITY SHOP AREA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment in the amount of $22,329.00 to recognize revenue from the Arkansas State
Highway and Transportation Department for the replacement of a fence, sign and trees due to the
widening of State Highway 16 near the city shop area. A copy of the budget adjustment is
attached as Exhibit "A".

Subject: Resolution and budget adjustment to recognize revenue in the amount of $22,329 from the
Arkansas State Highway Department to replace the fence, sign and trees due to the widening of
Highway 16 East by the City Shop area on Happy Hollow Road.
PRQJ OSAL:
At the May 20, 2011 City Council meeting, Resolution 80-11 was approved to convey city property to the
Arkansas State Highway Department for improvements planned for Highway 16 East. Part of this land donated
to the state contained the City Shop area's northern fence for security around the complex, entry sign and trees.
The Arkansas State Highway Department consented to pay the cost to replace the fence, sign and trees in order
to accommodate the improvements to Highway 16 East.

Approval of resolution and budget adjustment to recognize revenue in the amount of $22,329 from the Arkansas
State Highway Department to replace the fence, sign and trees due to the widening of Highway 16 East by the
City Shop area on Happy Hollow Road.
BUD9ET IMPACT:
There is no budget impact. Request is to recognize the revenues to replace the fence, sign and trees affected by
the widening of Highway 16 by the City's Parks and Recreation Department, Transportation Department, Fleet
Division, Solid Waste Division, and Recycling Center.
