HomeMy WebLinkAbout125-11 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. 125-11 A RESOLUTION TO DEDICATE THE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY TO THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE REALIGNED HIGHWAY 71 WHEREAS, the City purchased and needs to dedicate the right-of-way for the relocated Highway 71 to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department so that the Highway Department can maintain such right-of-way. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby dedicates to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department the right-of-way as shown on the attached "City of Fayetteville Right -of -Way Plat U.S. Highway 71 Relocate as a part of the Runway 16 Safety Area Improvements, Fayetteville Executive Airport". RECOMMENDATION: Approve the dedication of General Utility Easements and the Right of Way associated with the relocation of US Highway 71 South around the Improved Runway safety Area at Fayetteville Executive Airport, Drake Field. Mayor Sign the dedication. BACKGROUND: The RSA 16 Improvement Project moved Highway 71 to the west out of the Runway safety Area at the airport. The land required for the relocation of the highway was purchased by the project and now is owned by deed by the City of Fayetteville. This action dedicates the new right of way to the State of Arkansas and establishes General Utility Easements along the new highway. BUDGET IMPACT: None.
