PLUS DIESEL TRACTOR FROM WILLIAMS TRACTOR, INC. IN THE NET
AMOUNT OF $39,191.00 AFTER TRADE-IN, FOR USE BY THE
FAYETTEVILLE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT -DRAKE FIELD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid
#10-22 and approves the purchase of one (1) four-wheel drive New Holland T6050 Plus diesel
tractor from Williams Tractor, Inc. in the net amount of $39,191.00 after trade in, for use by the
Fayetteville Executive Airport -Drake Field.

Subject: Purchase of one Tractor
PROPOSAL: Bid 10-22 was opened on March 12, 2010 for one 4WD Diesel Tractor. Four bid responses were
received. A detailed tabulation sheet is attached. The lowest bid from Williams Tractor does NOT meet specs.
The second lowest bid from Williams Tractor meets all specifications.
This unit is for use by the Airport to mow the grass around the runways; Federal Aviation rules govern
maintenance of the grass areas. It is a replacement for unit #557, a 13 year old tractor that is worn out.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on March 30, 2010.
RECOMMENDATION: I recommend acceptance of the low bid that meets specs from Williams Tractor in
the amount of $69,200 less trade in on old unit of $30,009 for a total cost to the city of $39,191.
BUDGET IMPACT: The only budget impact is an extra $1.00 per month for insurance costs.
