Stout Estate in the amount of $25,000.00. The Fire Department is very grateful for the generous support of Ms. Stout and wishes to utilize this donation to help fund the purchase of much needed equipment. The Fire Department carries defibrillators onboard emergency response units and many of these are in need of updates or replacement. The department is also in need of an extractor/washing machine that will eliminate the potential for the cross contamination of protective clothing and station uniforms. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends a resolution approving the acceptance of a $25,000 donation from the Kathryn B. Stout Estate to the Fayetteville Fire Department and a budget adjustment to recognize the aforementioned donation revenue. BUDGET IMPACT: These funds are currently in Escrow — Fire Safety account number 1010.1532.00 and will be reallocated to the Donations account upon City Council approval to recognize and accept this donation. The attached budget adjustment will recongize $25,000.00 in donation revenue and increase the appropriate expense account to faciliate the purchase of equipment for the Fayetteville Fire Department.
