A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $43,000.00 TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF
A BOBCAT SKID STEER LOADER AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO.
177-10
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a
budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A," in the amount of $43,000.00 to
provide funding for the purchase of a Bobcat skid steer loader authorized by Resolution No. 177-
10.

SUBJECT: Budget Adjustment for Bobcat Skid Steer Loader (Resolution 177-10)
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the budget adjustment in the amount of $43,000.
Background:
At the October 19, 2010 City Council meeting, the Fleet Operations Division presented
two separate agenda items authorizing the purchase of equipment for use as part of the
Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) BioSolids Solar Drying Operations program.
The first item requested the purchase of a Bobcat Skid Steer Loader in the amount
of $42,738.00 from Williams Tractor and was approved by City Council with
Resolution 177-10.
• The second item requested the purchase of a John Deere 7230 110 HP Tractor
from Countryside Farm and Lawn of Springdale in the amount of $78,616.20. In
addition, the item requested the approval of a Budget Adjustment in the amount
of $121,500 which would cover both the first and second items.
Since the second item was pulled from the agenda and was tabled indefinitely, the
Budget Adjustment covering both purchases was not approved leaving the first item
without the proper funding.
Discussion & Budget Impact:
A budget adjustment is requested in the amount of $43,000 to cover the purchase
authorized with Resolution 177-10. The funds needed for this item are coming from the
Wastewater System Improvements Project.
