A RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE THE FAYETTEVILLE
HIGH SCHOOL MEN'S AND WOMEN'S VARSITY
BASKETBALL TEAMS ON PERFECT, UNDEFEATED,
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEASONS
WHEREAS, for the first time in Arkansas history and probably in the history of the
United States, in the highest division level of high school athletics, both the Fayetteville High
School Men's and Women's Basketball Teams achieved perfect, undefeated, state championship
seasons in the same year; and
WHEREAS, both the men's and women's Fayetteville Bulldog Basketball Teams were
nationally ranked at the end of their hard fought and well-deserved state championships; and
WHEREAS, both the Fayetteville Bulldog Men's and Women's Basketball Teams had
the Most Valuable Players in the state championships and All -State Players, but even more
importantly achieved their undefeated seasons through gritty, inspired, unselfish, team -oriented
efforts from starters and reserves alike.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS'
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby takes great
pride and satisfaction in recognizing and congratulating the Fayetteville Bulldog Men's and
Women's Basketball Teams for their perfect, undefeated, state championship seasons.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby thanks
these Bulldogs for their exemplary performance both on and off the basketball court which
brings great credit to themselves, their coaches, their parents, their school and their hometowrk,,oRWTR '�.,•,
