A RESOLUTION TO REPEAL RESOLUTION NO. 86-09 AND TO AWARD
BID # 09-27 FOR A 4x4 COMPACT PICKUP TRUCK TO LEWIS FORD OF
FAYETTEVILLE IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,379.00
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder selected in Resolution No. 86-09 mistakenly bid
the wrong vehicle and is therefore not a qualified bidder, which makes Lewis Ford the lowest
qualified bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby repeals
Resolution No. 86-09 and awards Bid # 09-27 for a 4x4 compact pickup truck to Lewis Ford of
Fayetteville in the amount of $18,379.00.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one compact 4 x 4 pickup truck
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council rescind Resolution #86-09 to purchase a compact 4x4
pickup truck from Lander's McLarty Ford of Bentonville, and approve the purchase of a compact
4x4 pickup truck from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville in the amount of $18,379.00
BACKGROUND: At the Council meeting of April 21, 2009 the purchase of one compact 4x4
pickup truck from Lander's McLarty Ford was approved in the amount of $18,151. Lander's
McLarty has since advised that they inadvertently bid the wrong vehicle so their bid #09-27 does
not meet the City specifications.
The lowest bid that does meet specs is from Lewis Ford of Fayetteville.
recommend the purchase of the pickup from Lewis Ford in the amount of $18,379.00.
Funds are available for this purchase in Project 02078, Light/Medium Utility Vehicles.
