A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $150.00 FOR A CHARITABLE GIFT
FROM TOM OVERBEY FOR GRAFFITI REMOVAL FUND.
WHEREAS, Thomas L. Overbey donated $150.00 to the Police Department's Graffiti
Removal Fund on December 2, 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves,,,mm,.,

Re: Fayetteville Police Department Donations
Background
Periodically, businesses and/or citizens of Fayetteville will make monetary donations to
the Police Department to enhance our services or to recognize our personnel.
Discussion
On December 8, 2008, the Police Department received a check in the amount of $150.00 from
Thomas L Overbey to recognize and support our graffiti removal efforts. These funds will be
used to help replenish our graffiti removal supplies. The check was deposited into the City's
General Fund and will be tracked through the City's Project Accounting System to insure that
the donors intended purpose is met.
Recommendation
Staff recommends acceptance of this donation to the Fayetteville Police Department in
the total amount of $150 and approval of the expenditure for their intended purpose. If you
