BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section I. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
hereby ay% ards Bid #08-36 and approve" the purchase of one (1) compact Tractor
Backhoe from Warrior of Arkansas in the amount of 530,798.00 for use by the
Parks & Recreation Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Compact Tractor Backhoe

RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve the purchase of one compact Tractor
Backhoe for Parks Division in the amount of $30.798.00
BACKGROUND: Bid #08-36 was opened on March 7, 2008 for one Compact 4WD Tractor
Backhoe for assignment to the Parks Division. Two bid responses were received. A detailed
tabulation sheet is attached.
The lowest bid from Wamor of Arkansas, of Springdale meets all specifications.
I recommend acceptance of the bid from Warrior of Arkansas in the amount of $30,798.00.
This unit is a replacement for unit #554, a 1995 Ford utility tractor that is no longer dependable
for daily operation. The specified compact tractor backhoe is capable of performing more varied
jobs more efficiently than the unit it is replacing.
Funds are available for this purchase in Fleet Replacement Special Project 02076 — Backhoes
and Loaders
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on March 25th, 2008.
