A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $3,950.00 RECOGNIZING DONATION
REVENUE TO THE FAYETTEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
FROM VARIOUS SOURCES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
hereby approves a budget adjustment in the amount of $3,950.00 recognizing
donation revenue to the Fayetteville Police Department from various sources, the
details of which are set forth in the Departmental Correspondence attached
hereto and made a part hereof

Re: Fayetteville Police Department Donations
Background
Periodically, businesses and/or citizens of Fayetteville will make monetary donations to
the Police Department to enhance our services or to recognize our personnel.
Discussion
Thus far in 2008, the Police Department has received a total of $3,950 in donations from
the following sources and specific purposes:
Wal -mart Neighborhood Market $1,000 Equipment/Supplies
Target $ 500 Equipment/Supplies
America in Bloom $ 300 Graffiti Removal Supplies
Wal -mart Foundation $1,000 Youth Police Academy
Several Misc. Donors $1,150 Personnel Recognition
These funds are deposited and tracked through the City's Project Accounting System to
insure that the donors intended purpose is met.
Recommendation
Staff recommends acceptance of these various donations received throughout 2008 by the
Fayetteville Police Department in the total amount of $3,950 and approval of their intended
