A RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE THE CITY OF
SPRINGDALE FOR BUILDING THE ARVEST BALLPARK
AND ACQUIRING THE NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
NATURALS
WHEREAS, through a community -wide effort with leadership from the Mayor, City
Council, and Chamber of Commerce and the willingness of Springdale citizens to tax
themselves, the City of Springdale built the Arvest Ballpark and secured the Northwest Arkansas
Naturals to play there; and
WHEREAS, Arvest Ballpark is a state-of-the-art Minor League stadium bringing an
attractive and exciting sporting venue to Springdale; and
WHEREAS, many citizens from all over Northwest Arkansas including Fayetteville
have already enjoyed the hospitality of Springdale at Arvest Ballpark; and
WHEREAS, the City Council encourages its citizens to patronize and support the
Northwest Arkansas Naturals in their new home in Springdale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby extends its
wholehearted congratulations to the Mayor, City Council, Chamber of Commerce and Citizens
of Springdale for the rapid construction of their comfortable and state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark
and wishes our sister city, Springdale, the best for its Northwest Arkansas Naturals and in all of
