The original request to the City of Fayetteville for funding was for $45,000.00 but we were recently the recipient of a $25,000.00 donation from a local family and member of the Museum Board of Directors to use for the new lighting. A $25,000.00 matching grant from the City will cover the entire cost of the new lighting, completely replacing the lighting in both the hangar and the exhibit area. We will be applymg for a Smithsonian Affiliate designation in 2008 which will allow us to receive traveling exhibits and from our initial museum inspection already know that the current lighting will not meet the specifications to preserve and protect their exhibits or our artifacts. This request is extremely important in allowing us to move forward toward our goal. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
