A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN (7)
FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTORS FROM
LANDERS FORD OF BENTON THROUGH THE STATE VEHICLE
PURCHASE CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $151,430.60.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
hereby approves the purchase of seven (7) Ford Crown Victoria Police
Interceptors from Landers Ford of Benton through the State Vehicle Purchase
Contract in the amount of $151,430.60.
PASSED and APPROVED this 4th day of December, 2007.

SUBJECT: Purchase of seven Police Interceptors
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve the purchase of seven replacement Police
Patrol sedans in the amount of $151,429.50 for use by the Police Department
BACKGROUND: Purchase of 7 replacement police patrol sedans was approved in the 2007
budget. Analysis of projected mileage data and wreck history confirms the need for 7
replacement units within the current 2008 model year.
Vehicles meeting City of Fayetteville specifications are available through the State vehicle
purchase contract from Landers Ford of Benton, AR at a cost of $21,632.80.
I recommend purchase of 7 Ford Police Interceptor sedans from Landers Ford in the amount of
$151,429.60.
Funds for this purchase are available in the 2007 CIP budget, Project 02081 - Police/Passenger
Vehicles.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee at the meeting of November 13,
2007.
