HomeMy WebLinkAbout201-07 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. 201-07 A RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE THE 2007 FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM FOR THEIR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND TO DESIGNATE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2007 IN FAYETTEVILLE AS BULLDOG CHAMPIONSHIP DAY WHEREAS, on November 24, 2007, the Fayetteville High School Bulldog Football Team won the first State Football Championship in school history; and WHEREAS, all the citizens of Fayetteville are happy and proud of that achievement as well as the other championships and accomplishments of other Bulldog teams and of the superior academic performance of Fayetteville High School students. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby congratulates the Arkansas State Champion Fayetteville Bulldog Football Team on their great season and designates Friday, December 7, 2007, in Fayetteville as "Bulldog Championship Day." The City Council further asks that Fayetteville citizens and FHS Alumni display their Fayetteville purple and white on Friday to demonstrate their Bulldog pride in recognition of the Bulldog Championship Team.
