A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FAYEI IEVILLE ANIMAL
SERVICES DIVISION TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM SAM'S CLUB
IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF
VETERINARY SUPPLIES; AND APPROVING A BUDGET
ADJUSTMENT TO RECOGNIZE THE GRANT REVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
hereby authorizes the Fayetteville Animal Services Division to accept a grant
from Sam's Club in the amount of $3,000.00 for the purchase of veterinary
supplies.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
hereby approves a budget adjustment to recognize the grant revenue.
PASSED and APPROVED this 1601 day of October, 2007.

SUBJECT: Sam's Club Grant for veterinary supplies
Recommendation: Council approves the receipt of grant funds in the amount of
$3,000 from Sam's Club for the purchase of veterinary supplies.
Background: Wal-Mart and Sam's Club have provided Fayetteville Animal Services
with grants for the purchase of veterinary supplies
Discussion: These funds will offset budget shortfall for veterinary supplies, including
vaccinations and medications.
Budget Impact: Addition for the purchase of vetennary supplies. There will not be any
on-going expenses associated with these purchases.
