A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISED MISSION
STATEMENT FOR THE FAYETTEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT,
DRAKE FIELD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:.
•
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
hereby approves the revised Mission Statement for the Fayetteville Municipal
Airport, Drake Field, a copy of which, marked Exhibit "A," is attached hereto
and made a part hereof. .

MISSION
To lead Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas with
strategic and innovative aviation services and solutions
designed to foster economic growth and commerce
in an ever changing environment
GOALS
• Foster partnerships with:
► The business community
► Educational institutions
• Capitalize on the assets of the airport
• Ensure fiscal stability of the airport
• Contribute to the economic well-being
of the community

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the newly revised Mission Statement for Fayetteville Municipal
Airport, Drake Field.
$ACKGROUND• The Fayetteville Municipal Airport, Drake Field Board met in Strategic Planning
Session and drafted a new mission statement which they approved at their August Board Meeting. The
goals have remained the same but the Mission Statement has been updated to reflect the continuing
improvements made and the continuing efforts of the Airport Board and Staff to make Fayetteville
Municipal Airport, Drake Field the best it can be
