That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby authorizes the Fayetteville Police Department to accept a grant from Sam's Club Foundation in the amount of $3,000.00 for the purchase of minor equipment. Background Over the past years Sam's Club and Wal -mart have provided the Fayetteville Police Department with grants for the purchase of equipment. Discussion These funds will offset budget shortfalls for minor equipment F Budget Impact This grant provides an additional $3,000 for the purchase of police equipment.
