OF $21,657.00 FOR USE BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION
DIVISION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
hereby awards Bid #07-61 to Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment for the
purchase of one (1) two -wheel drive utility tractor in the amount of $21,657.00 for %%%%% „

SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF ONE 2WD UTILITY TRACTOR
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve the purchase of one two wheel drive utility
tractor for use by Parks Division in the amount of $21,657.
BACKGROUND: Bid #07-61 was opened on August 16, 2007 for one two wheel dnve utility
tractor for assignment to the Parks Division. Four bid responses were received. A detailed
tabulation sheet is attached.
The lowest bid from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment (Springdale) meets all
specifications.
This tractor is a replacement for unit #553, a 1995 Ford utility tractor that is no longer
dependable for daily use. This replacement was approved by the Equipment Committee and
funded in the 2007 budget process.
I recommend acceptance of the bid from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment in the amount
of $21,657.00.
Funds are available for this purchase in Fleet Replacement Special Project 02083 — Tractors
and Mowers.
The purchase of this unit was approved by the Equipment Committee on August 28, 2007.
